We spent the day driving through mostly flat, fertile land, almost all of it planted with corn; which is just about 6” high. It looks beautiful with the fields so carefully seeded; everything clean, no weeds.
The surroundings are very green at this time of the year. What I liked about the state of Iowa is that they must have lower taxes on the Diesel fuel; we filled up for 4.599 a gallon; cheap now a days.
Iowa also has free wireless internet access at all their Rest areas along the interstates; I really appreciated this.
We stopped at the Mall of America at Minneapolis; a huge mall with an indoor amusement park.
